We are seeking a highly skilled AV Commissioning Engineer to join our global engineering team at Inizio Partners. As an integral part of our team, you will have the freedom and flexibility to work on a variety of projects, with the opportunity to travel extensively.
Key Responsibilities- Commission and integrate video-conference and AV equipment, ensuring seamless functionality and high-quality performance.
- Collaborate with the Operations team, project managers, and programmers to deliver complete, fully functional integrated audio-visual systems.
- Interface with clients, Tech-Ops, and Engineering staff to ensure successful commissioning processes.
- Review project CAD documentation, identify as-built discrepancies, and communicate project snag lists to project managers.
- Assist project managers with regular written reporting and handling client-requested changes to scope.
- Configure UC platforms, AV over IP/fiber, IP, and network switch configuration of all AV devices residing on a network.
- Update device firmware where applicable and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams and UC solutions.
- Design and implement bespoke system designs and client AV standards.
- Collaborate with onsite/remote IT teams to resolve networking and patching issues.
- Develop and implement in-room control and audio DSP program setup and testing.
- Set up device EDID and test point-to-point and multipoint video over IP/Fibre/HDbT devices over the network.
- Field test and resolve issues with AV control programs, hardware configuration equipment, and control programs as per design brief.
- Complete commissioning QA checklists, rack testing, and escalate and resolve issues with the installation, system design, control program, and equipment.
- Manage and store final control programs and audio DSP code on project servers.
- Provide training on AV/UC systems to clients.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position.
- Technical knowledge and proven install experience of VC and AV solutions, including Cisco, AMX, Crestron, Microsoft, Zoom, Polycom, Audio DSP/QSC, and Supervisory/Team Lead experience.
- Brand experience and qualifications in digital media signage applications, Codian MCU, CTM, ClearOne, Extron, Lifesize, CTS Infocomm Qualified, AMX Qualified, QSC, and Biamp Qualified are desirable but not essential.
- Full clean driving license, US Passport/Work Authorization/Clean Background Check.
