Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Oncologist to join the esteemed Department of Gynecologic Oncology.

Our GYNONC program is a comprehensive academic practice, deeply involved in research, teaching, and clinical care. As the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Florida, we are at the forefront of groundbreaking advancements in cancer treatment.

We are actively engaged in translational research across all phases of clinical trials, including investigator-initiated studies. Our focus areas encompass a wide range of gynecologic cancers, with particular emphasis on innovative therapies such as cell therapies and novel therapeutics. We collaborate closely with the Gynecologic Oncology Group and provide comprehensive training for medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice professionals.

This position reports directly to the Department Chair and fosters a collaborative environment where clinicians, basic scientists, and population scientists work together seamlessly.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care, encompassing the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients with gynecologic cancers.
  • Engage in clinical or translational research, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and development of new treatments.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary tumor boards, molecular genetics conferences, and educational activities.
  • Supervise Advance Practice Professionals and academic trainees, fostering their professional growth.
Qualifications:
  • Medical degree or foreign equivalent, plus completion of residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Board eligible or Board certified in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Florida medical license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Qualified to obtain hospital privileges.
