Textile Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fabric Coordinator to join our team at James Perse Los Angeles. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our fabrics meets our high standards from product initiation through production.

• Quality Control: Ensure that all fabrics meet our quality standards, including inspecting and testing samples, and reviewing production reports.
• Communication: Collaborate with the Design, Product Development, and Production teams to resolve any fabric-related issues or concerns.
• Vendor Management: Work directly with mills to coordinate daily communications, request fabric data sheets (FDS), and review potential risks before development begins.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of sample yardage inventory and order additional samples as needed.
• Purchasing: Place bulk fabric purchases and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely payment and shipping.
• Quality Assurance: Review and approve bulk fabric cuttings, send fabric references to vendors, and prepare bulk fabric swatches for master fabric files.
• Production Monitoring: Track fabric production and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality standards are met.
• Testing and Inspection: Coordinate fabric testing and inspection for European fabrics, maintaining detailed records of inspection results.
• Problem-Solving: Work with garment vendors to resolve any quality issues detected in bulk fabric and communicate potential delays or quality issues with the design, product development, and production teams.
• Inventory Adjustments: Manage changes in fabric order quantities to ensure bulk production needs are covered.
