Job Summary:

Gosnold, Inc. is a nationally accredited non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and recovery of mental health and substance use disorders. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Therapist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with initial evaluations and patient intake interviews, assessing patient needs and formulating diagnoses.
  • Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring a comprehensive and patient-centered approach.
  • Provide individual, group, family, marital, child, and adjunctive therapies as needed, within the scope of expertise and credentials.
  • Conduct case management services, prepare discharge summaries, and provide crisis management for patients.
  • Interact with referral sources and external providers to ensure coordination of patient services.
  • Participate in continuing education activities and in-service training programs to maintain expertise and meet credentialing requirements.
  • Attend meetings as directed and meet with supervisor for supervision and clinical reviews.
  • Monitor caseload to ensure compliance with third-party payers, including chart reviews, pre-certification requests, and authorizations.
  • Serve as a resource person to Gosnold and the community, presenting classes, speaking engagements, and agency consultation as directed.
  • Document patient records in accordance with Gosnold standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a professional mentor to interns, counselors, and visiting students.
  • Abide by the professional staff code of ethics and maintain a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality, dual-relationships, and professional stature.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a counseling or related discipline.
  • Five (5) years of supervised counseling experience in the behavioral health field.
  • Working familiarity and/or direct experience in the use of relevant technology (EMRs, tele-health, etc.).
  • Training in special population areas necessary for provision of effective counseling and care management.
  • Ability to interact and relate to persons in early recovery from addiction.
