About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our radiology team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, interpreting images, and providing excellent patient care.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have experience in general, vascular, and/or cardiac sonography and possess strong technical skills. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to perform high-quality exams
  • Analyze images and provide diagnostic reports to radiologists
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
  • Meet productivity and quality standards, adhering to departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
  • RDMS registration with Abdomen issued by ARDMS (obtained within 3 months)
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration or Vascular Sonography (VS) registration from ARRT or CCI (obtained within 3 months)
  • Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) registration with Adult Echo from ARDMS or Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) registration from CCI (obtained within 18 months)
  • BLS certification from AHA (obtained within 6 months)
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Sonography and relevant certifications
