Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales and Marketing Professional to join our team at Marriott. As a Sales and Marketing Professional, you will be responsible for preparing sales-related documents, promoting brand awareness, and gathering materials to assemble information packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sales-related documents, such as proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders.
  • Promote brand awareness internally and externally.
  • Gather materials and assemble information packages, including brochures and promotional materials.
  • Use sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott.
  • Assist the management team in developing, implementing, and executing revenue and marketing programs for all outlets and room service.
  • Develop and coordinate social media initiatives and beverage promotional programs.
  • Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information in software involved in the sales process.
  • Answer guest questions about property facilities and services.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.
  • Coordinate reservation confirmations for special and holiday events for parties of six people or more in the restaurant.
  • Coordinate the selling of all food and beverage in hospitality suites through the Room Service Department.
  • Perform general office duties to support Champions and Room Service, including filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, and copying.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance, stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent related work experience.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
  • No license or certification required.
