Position Overview

The Pediatric Physical Therapist plays a crucial role in delivering specialized therapy services to children, from infancy through young adulthood. This role involves comprehensive assessments, tailored program development, and effective treatment modalities aimed at enhancing the physical well-being of pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough evaluations and provide treatment for a diverse range of conditions, including neurological, musculoskeletal, and developmental disorders. Utilize age-appropriate techniques and interventions that align with the child's developmental stage and family-centered care principles.
  2. Care Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans with clear, functional, and measurable objectives, ensuring collaborative agreement with the child's family or guardian.
  3. Implementation of Therapy: Execute the treatment plan using various modalities such as exercise, neuromuscular re-education, mobilization, and other therapeutic techniques as indicated by medical professionals.
  4. Family Education: Educate families on maximizing the child's functional abilities at home and in the community, including the implementation of home exercise programs.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies, contributing to quality management initiatives.
  6. Collaboration: Foster positive relationships within the healthcare team and the community, participating in training and development programs as needed.
  7. Supervision: Oversee and mentor support staff, including physical therapist assistants and students, providing constructive feedback on their performance.
