Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Step Down Unit
About the Role:
UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Step Down Unit. As a key member of our care delivery team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process to create a healing environment and formulate daily goals and care plans for patients.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide detailed and appropriate teaching to guide patients and families through care episodes and transitions.
- Support the development of students, new staff, and colleagues, and may serve as a preceptor.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- UPMC approved national certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience required.
- BSN preferred.
