At Advanced Home Health & Hospice Inc., we are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant will provide physical therapy services under the direction of the physical therapist and according to the physician's plan of care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients, including exercises, muscle reeducation, and gait training.
- Observe and report patient reactions to treatment and any changes in patient condition to the physical therapist and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including clinical notes and conference notes.
- Participate in home care team meetings and inservice education programs.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an Associate's degree in science or applied science.
- Current CPR certification and state licensure or certification as required.
- Ability to lift 15-20 pounds and push/pull 200 pounds on a regular basis.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Work Environment:
The Physical Therapy Assistant will work in a home care setting, visiting patients in their homes and working in the agency office. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
