POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for the design, execution, and assessment of engaging activities that cater to the developmental needs of children. Your schedule will require availability during early morning and late afternoon hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans that promote learning and fun.
- Facilitate games and activities that encourage participation and teamwork.
- Communicate weekly lesson plans to parents to keep them informed.
- Provide daily updates to parents regarding their child's activities.
- Prepare necessary materials for daily programming.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor children's arrival and departure.
- Ensure a safe and supervised environment for all participants.
- Conduct annual parent-teacher conferences to discuss child development.
- Oversee the maintenance of classroom supplies and equipment.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned to ensure the smooth operation of our programs.
COMPENSATION:
Hourly wage of $20.54, classified as Non-Exempt, with part-time hours available (up to 25 hours per week). A shift premium of $2/hour is available for staff working both morning and afternoon sessions on the same day, paid monthly.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of an Associate's degree in a youth development-related field or current enrollment in such a program is required. Candidates should have six months to one year of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience. A passion for working with children of diverse backgrounds is essential.
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Blood Borne Pathogen training.
- CPR Certification within the first 60 days of employment.
- First Aid Certification within the first 60 days of employment.
- AED-Oxygen Certification within the first 60 days of employment.
- State of Michigan criminal background clearance.
