This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care by assisting patients with various tasks, including check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with check-in and check-out processes, including verifying patient demographics and entering changes into the computer system.
  • Arrange follow-up visits and referral appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Collect and verify insurance information, directing patients to the appropriate waiting areas as needed.
  • Accept payments for physician/clinic services, posting payments and entering charges into the computer system using established codes.
  • Generate daily payment reports and verify cash drawer against the report, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Provide accurate patient, medical, financial, or procedural information to patients or approved outside entities, responding to routine inquiries and resolving patient complaints in a professional manner.
  • Assist with medical records duties as requested, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems, including data entry and navigation.
