About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Valmont Industries. As a key member of our galvanizing operations, you will be responsible for supervising a small work group of maintenance personnel and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance personnel to meet safety, quality, and production requirements.
  • Test, inspect, repair, and reassemble plant equipment, including overhead bridge cranes, hoists, gearboxes, forklifts, and electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform high-skilled electrical work, including reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical diagrams.
  • Fabricate fixtures using welding, cutting, brazing, and surface hardening applications.
  • Communicate effectively with other maintenance and production team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor performance of assigned personnel, complete employee performance reviews, and take corrective action as necessary.
Requirements
  • Two to five years of related experience in maintenance and repair of galvanizing equipment.
  • Strong background knowledge of 480-volt, 3-phase electricity.
  • Ability to work from heights using equipment such as high-reach forklifts.
  • Proven supervisory skills and strong leadership with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
