Position SummaryWe are in search of a committed RN or LPN specializing in IV Therapy to enhance our healthcare services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering IV treatments, observing patient reactions, and maintaining exceptional standards of patient care.
QualificationsEssential Requirements:
- Current RN or LPN licensure in New Mexico
- Proven experience in IV therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- IV Administration: Initiate, oversee, and terminate IV infusions while adhering to precise and sterile procedures.
- Patient Evaluation: Evaluate patients' needs for IV access, including vein selection and catheter placement.
- Medication Oversight: Prepare and administer IV medications, fluids, and electrolytes according to physician directives.
- Monitoring: Continuously observe patients for any adverse reactions or complications, ensuring timely intervention when necessary.
- Record Keeping: Meticulously document all IV therapy activities, patient responses, and any changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR).
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and their families regarding IV therapy processes, potential side effects, and aftercare instructions.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement personalized care plans.
