Guidance Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Guidance Counselor to join our team at Marlborough Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students in our Alternative Education Program.

• Design and implement a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses the academic, social-emotional, and career needs of students.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, focusing on college and career readiness, academic planning, and personal development.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and success.
• Develop and deliver guidance presentations and workshops for students, parents, and teachers.
• Advocate for students and families, and respond to building or district crises as needed.

• Masters degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Valid licensure as a High School Guidance Counselor (9-12) by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
• Previous experience as a High School Guidance Counselor highly preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) preferred.
• SEI Endorsement preferred.
• Familiarity with Google Docs, Naviance, and Aspen preferred.
