We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician/Biller. As a key member of our billing team, you will be responsible for collecting on unpaid or denied claims, reconciling insurance responses to bills, and answering insurance calls.
Responsibilities:- Collecting on unpaid or denied claims and resolving any discrepancies.
- Reconciling insurance responses to bills and ensuring accurate payment processing.
- Answering insurance calls and responding to customer inquiries.
- Obtaining Prior Authorizations (PA) and communicating with MD offices and Insurances regarding PA and/or prescription changes.
- File maintenance and paperwork, including accurate and timely completion of forms and documents.
- Working closely with the pharmacist on duty and following policies and procedures.
- Proper inventory management and purchasing, including accurate counting, packaging, and preparing prescription orders.
- Assisting patients and customers with their OTC purchases and prescription needs.
- Reconciling deliveries and pick-ups, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of prescriptions.
- Entering prescription orders and properly transmitting claims to the appropriate insurance companies.
- Availability to work 20-40 hours per week.
- Punctuality and reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments.
- Strong communication and written skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, customers, and healthcare professionals.
- Spanish speaking is a must, with the ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients and customers.
