Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and lead creativity, conceptualization, and production of digital and print materials, including animations, brochures, flyers, posters, PowerPoint slides, invitations, web designs and wireframes, social media graphics, infographics, and advertisements.
  • Follow the OMC workflow process to ensure job deadlines are met and design is of sound quality for digital display or printing on various substrates.
  • Represent OMC as the lead design expert in the room, exercising independence in design execution.
  • Interact with print vendors as a primary contact for execution of printing services.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure quality and timeliness.

Client Support

  • Meet with clients to determine goals and needs, reviews proofs/mock ups and obtains signed-off approvals.
  • Effectively understand customer needs and communicate project status to the Director of Creative Services.
  • Facilitate customer service through electronic communication and face-to-face meetings.
  • Collaborate regularly with OMC team on design status/efforts.

Training and Development

  • Maintain understanding of the latest design tools and techniques.
  • Plan for long-term innovative projects to improve Terry communications.
  • Lead and monitor the design work of student staff in OMC as needed.

Requirements

  • Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, including layout, color, type, and composition.
  • Photo editing experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with others.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Interpersonal relations model high standards of professional, responsible, accountable, and ethical conduct.

Working Conditions

  • Working in a normal office environment.
