Job Summary:
TS Tech North America is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our New Castle, IN facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of multi-trade functions, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, and perform repairs as needed.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and electrical panels.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and write, install, and troubleshoot ladder logic.
- Perform tasks related to the building facility, utilities, and outside grounds, as needed.
- Operate stationary machines and powered hand tools, and perform welding and cutting torch operations.
- Use precision measuring instruments and understand how things fit and work together.
- Work closely with engineers on special projects or tasks, and communicate effectively on issues such as scope of work, completion schedules, problems, solutions, materials, or parts required.
- Examine machines of various types to diagnose the source of problems, and initiate repairs as needed.
- Support the development of 5S, TPM, and Kaizen programs.
- Ensure safe operations and ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
Requirements:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in industrial, commercial, or military maintenance environment.
- Skills in electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repair of automated equipment.
- Ability to work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and write, install, and troubleshoot ladder logic.
- Understanding and application of the National Electric Code.
- Two (2) year technical degree, electrical certificate, or license preferred.
Working Conditions:
The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced industrial environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions. The ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with heavy equipment is required.
