Locum Obstetrician

Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Obstetrics and Gynecology physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Morehead, KY. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and a flexible schedule.

The facility is an out-patient clinic with a standard 5, 8-hour shift schedule. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and technical proficiency in performing gynecological exams and surgical procedures.

• Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life.
• Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Perform surgical procedures, such as hysterectomies, cesarean sections, and minimally invasive surgeries.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of women's health conditions.
• Provide counseling on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
• Stay current on the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training program in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
• Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the AOA.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Kentucky.
