Job OpportunityBoise Centre, a leading convention and event venue in Idaho, is seeking a skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team.
About the Role:
- Prepare high-quality cuisine for diverse events, working under the guidance of our Executive Sous Chef.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, adhering to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Collaborate with fellow cooks and kitchen staff to deliver seamless service during events, fostering a positive and high-energy work environment.
- Stay up-to-date with food trends and contribute creative ideas to enhance our culinary offerings.
- Support training efforts by assisting new and existing kitchen staff in techniques and kitchen best practices.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a professional culinary setting.
- Must be ready to obtain an Idaho Food Handlers Permit or already hold a ServSafe certification.
- Strong knife skills, familiarity with kitchen equipment, and a deep understanding of food safety in high-volume environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent service in a collaborative setting.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, handle kitchen equipment safely, and withstand hot and busy kitchen conditions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
