Job Opportunity

Chesapeake Public Works – Engineering division is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to perform essential services for Survey and Drafting.

The ideal candidate will have two years of experience in land surveying or a closely related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform land surveying services for storm drainage and transportation projects
  • Work collaboratively with the Public Works Department to improve the level of safety and quality of life for Chesapeake residents
  • Meet the minimum requirements for the position, including a high school diploma or GED and any combination of education and experience equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education in land surveying, engineering, or a closely related field

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that is in compliance
  • Ability to work hours in excess of normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of related, full-time equivalent experience
