We are seeking a highly skilled IONM Intraoperative Expert to join our team. As an integral member of our neurological monitoring department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during surgical procedures.

Your primary responsibility will be to monitor the neurological function of patients in real-time, providing critical data to guide surgical decisions and minimize the risk of nerve damage. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in a health-related field and hold certification as a Certified Nurse Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (CNIM). Previous experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring is preferred, but not required. We offer comprehensive on-the-job training to ensure your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify procedure orders for surgical monitoring
  • Obtain relevant patient history
  • Confirm patient identity
  • Explain intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring to the patient
  • Obtain or verify informed consent
  • Review contraindications based on patient history and surgeon orders
  • Establish and confirm online HIPAA-compliant connections with attending neurophysiologists
  • Determine monitoring preferences of attending neurophysiologists
  • Initiate pre-surgical communications with anesthesia teams

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
