Position Summary:
We are in search of a proactive Legal Counsel with 2-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in contract analysis and employment law, to enhance our legal department.
- Draft, negotiate, and review various commercial agreements, including but not limited to sales agreements, service contracts, licensing arrangements, and vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Create and maintain contract templates, establish business and legal processes, and implement internal policies to facilitate business growth.
- Provide training to business personnel and engage with clients for the preparation and negotiation of contract documents, offering practical legal solutions.
- Oversee audits of the contract review process to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Support the development and implementation of best practices in contract management by proposing and communicating operational policies and procedural enhancements.
- Assist Human Resources by advising on employee-related actions, developing policies, and drafting employment manuals.
- Offer general corporate advice on governance, risk management, and labor-related issues.
- Contribute to the formulation of proposals or responses to RFPs for substantial contracts with major corporations, providing insights on risk management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school is required. Admission to the Georgia Bar is preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of legal practice experience in a dynamic environment, ideally in-house or in corporate defense.
- Proven experience in managing complex contracts, including drafting and negotiating relevant documentation.
- Familiarity with employment law, data privacy, corporate law, and both domestic and international operations is advantageous.
- Experience in leading small teams and collaborating across functions is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong negotiation abilities.
- Capacity to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking skills for effective problem-solving.
- Adept at identifying legal issues and proposing solutions for complex scenarios.
- Solid business acumen with the ability to apply it to various legal and business challenges.
- Attention to detail and the ability to quickly adapt to new environments and teams.
