Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Endoscopic Technician to join our team at Swedish Health Services. As a key member of our Gastroenterology Endoscopy unit, you will be responsible for preparing equipment for procedures, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and assisting in endoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare all equipment for endoscopic procedures, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
  • Clean and maintain equipment according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Assist in endoscopic procedures, working closely with Charge RNs and other healthcare professionals.
  • Track equipment repairs and maintenance, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control principles, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire, or Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire, or National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Within 1 year of hire, National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessors - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.
  • Previous experience in scope processing, scheduling procedures, computer data entry, and assisting in the procedure room.
