Position Overview:
This is a Full-Time Registered Nurse position in the Operating Room, working day shifts from Monday to Friday, with no on-call requirements, weekends, or holidays.
Facility Information:
The Tucson Surgery Center is an Outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care for patients undergoing surgery.
- Act as the Circulator during surgical procedures, observing and assisting the sterile team and anesthesia as needed to ensure patient needs are met.
- Utilize critical thinking and knowledge of surgical procedures to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Collaborate with various healthcare disciplines to provide optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse Circulator in the Operating Room.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications for the Operating Room.
