About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietary Technician to join our team at The Pines at Poughkeepsie, a proud affiliate of National Health Care Associates. As a Dietary Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations and nutrition teams in delivering exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the nutrition team in menu planning, execution, and analysis, ensuring compliance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Enter recipes into nutritional analysis software, track and communicate missing information, and maintain accurate tracking logs.
  • Conduct weekly menu reviews and audits to ensure compliance with established menuing protocols.
  • Assist with signage and communication of nutrition data in locations that provide menu labeling.
  • Monitor nutrition program details, including menu entry, online and in-caf communication, and report identified issues to managers.
  • Assist with delivery of food allergen awareness training and routine monitoring of food allergen awareness protocols.
  • Support the supervising Dietitian in site-specific wellness programming, including on-site demonstrations, community education events, and wellness-focused social media campaigns.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Working knowledge of nutrition and basic culinary skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related science field
  • Familiarity and comfort with online communication, including email and shared document platforms
