Camarillo California, United States CommonSpirit Health Full time

Overview:
CommonSpirit Health is a leading healthcare organization formed through the merger of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health. With a vast network of over 700 care facilities nationwide, we provide a range of services from clinics and hospitals to home-based and virtual care, ensuring accessibility for nearly one in four residents in the U.S.

In a time when compassion is essential, our communities require dedicated care, and we are committed to protecting families and advocating for those in need. By leveraging our combined resources, CommonSpirit aims to foster healthy communities and innovate the delivery of care both within our facilities and in the broader community.

Responsibilities:
As a Telemetry Nurse, you will utilize your nursing expertise to meticulously monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, oxygen levels, heart rhythms, and respiratory rates.

Your role will also involve reassuring patients and their families by clearly communicating test results and assisting them in making informed healthcare decisions.

Each day, you will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to observe patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring.

Building trust through effective communication and applying your knowledge in real-time will be essential in providing solutions for our patients.

Your success in this position will stem from your passion for delivering exceptional care, eagerness to learn, and ability to engage effectively with colleagues, patients, and their families.

In alignment with the core values of Dignity Health, the Telemetry Nurse is an experienced professional who exhibits comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and patient care, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously.

This role also serves as a resource and mentor for less experienced nurses, identifying and implementing nursing interventions that may yield less predictable outcomes, evaluating the effectiveness of these interventions for specific patient populations, and acting as a role model for junior staff.

This position is represented by SEIU Local 121RN and adheres to the terms and conditions outlined in the relevant collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
• Valid California Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of six months of recent medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care environment or specialty area
• ACLS Certification required

Preferred Requirements:
• Additional certifications relevant to the area of practice are preferred.
