Nurse Research Specialist

Job Description:
The Research Nurse I will play a key role in managing RN responsibilities in the conduct of clinical trials, including screening, enrolling, and following study patients. This role also involves managing global oncology research within the Hematology/Oncology department. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of protocol requirements and good clinical practices as set forth by federal regulations. Additionally, this role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as the Research Nurse will act as a liaison between the patient, investigator, Institutional Review Board(IRB) and sponsor in carrying out the RN responsibilities of the protocol.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct interviews with patients to assess their eligibility for clinical trials
* Collect data and source documentation from patients, investigators, and other healthcare professionals
* Ensure protocol compliance and close patient monitoring throughout the clinical trial process
* Collaborate with the research team to identify and mitigate potential risks and concerns associated with the clinical trial
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, data collection, and trial outcomes
Requirements:
* RN with current licensure required
* Must be licensed through the State of Louisiana by date of hire
* Bachelor's Degree required
* Certification as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) is strongly desired
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
