Job Summary
The Marketing Professor is a full-time non-tenured faculty position at Florida Memorial University. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in Marketing and a proven track record of teaching and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching
- Offer courses in Marketing, including introductory and advanced courses, face-to-face and online.
- Develop and utilize a syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.
- Assess student learning and provide individual evaluations of student performance.
- Research and Scholarship
- Conduct collaborative and applied research in Marketing, including assistance with grant applications and data analysis.
- Develop and publish scholarly research in Marketing journals.
- Service
- Participate in academic services, including advising students and serving on university committees.
- Engage in professional development and stay current in the field of Marketing.
Requirements
- Education
- An earned Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing from an ACBSP/AACSB accredited university.
- Experience
- A minimum of two years of marketing-related field experience.
- A minimum of two years of teaching experience in higher education.
- Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse constituents.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and LinkedIn Learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching Experience
- Experience teaching in multiple modalities, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid.
- Research Experience
- Demonstrated sustained peer-reviewed research and scholarly accomplishments.
- Service Experience
- Demonstrated commitment to service and leadership in higher education.
Working Conditions
The Marketing Professor will work in a fast-paced academic environment and will be required to work outside of normal business hours, including nights and weekends.
