Job Title: Dispensary General Manager

Ascend Wellness Holdings is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispensary General Manager to lead our retail store sales, operations, and responsibilities. As a champion for change, you will prioritize multiple tasks, manage your time effectively, and treat people with respect and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, hire, and staff the dispensary by attracting top talent with diverse skills.
  • Coach and develop associates to maximize their success.
  • Ensure onboarding and continued training and education for all staff.
  • Analyze key business metrics, create action plans, and gain buy-in from the team.
  • Lead weekly manager meetings and monthly team meetings to ensure effective communication.
  • Manage P&L, driving sales growth while controlling expense budgets.
  • Direct workforce management activities, including inventory management and loss prevention.
  • Oversee operational execution, ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations.
  • Develop and drive proactive internal compliance controls and processes.
  • Foster positive relationships with regulators, inspectors, and law enforcement personnel.
  • Ensure all required reports and audits are executed on time.
  • Lead customer loyalty and engagement initiatives, creating emotionally engaging experiences.
  • Direct visual standards and product buys from wholesale partners.
  • Ensure website and live menu are up to date and maintained to brand standards.
  • Lead and champion change and innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manage and motivate staff, including hiring, firing, performance management, and recognition.
  • Train, direct, and appraise staff.
  • Create daily work schedules for proper employee utilization.
  • Plan and organize workload and staff assignments.
  • Issue written and oral instructions, assign duties, and examine work for correctness and conformance to policy and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated success managing single or multiple location P&L responsibility.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, friendly and outgoing demeanor, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires trust, and upholds organizational values.
  • Observes and adheres to regulatory, safety, and security procedures.
Education, Experience, Eligibility, and Training:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, and over five years' experience in multiple location leadership, high-volume retail sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
