Job Summary

We are seeking a Per Diem Nurse to join our team at Sonoma STEP, a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca Family of Agencies. The Per Diem Nurse will provide intensive, short-term stabilization services to youth, ages 12-17, for an average of 10 days. The goal is to reintegrate our youth into schools and the community with lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality clinical care on assigned shift
  • Evaluate own practice and maintain consistent standards of care
  • Collect and analyze assessment data to formulate resident care problems, individualized outcomes, plans, implement and evaluate nursing interventions
  • Meet all regulatory and facility documentation standards
  • Protect the dignity and rights of residents
  • Provide culturally competent standards
  • Provide leadership
  • Collaborate with Psychiatrist to ensure quality of medication administration, adequate consents, medical treatment and follow-up
  • Collaborate with Clinical Manager to ensure health and safety, infection control, resource utilization, and clinical and rehabilitative standards of care
  • Communicate effectively with others and promote teamwork
  • Participate in nursing department, staff meetings and other facility activities
  • Foster professional development of staff on assigned shift
  • Carry out functions and responsibilities as it pertains to giving orders and conducting evaluations of clients in restraint/seclusion as per Seneca Center Crisis Intervention Policy Section 8
  • Facilitate the Recreational Group for the program
  • Support the milieu
  • Coordinate and facilitate referral and intake process
  • Assist with client transportation as needed
Qualifications
  • BSN, ADN or equivalent. Must be an RN in California
  • CPR – BLS
  • Valid California Registered Nurse License
  • Any other State/Federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policy
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

  • Starting $58.35- $60.85 per hour, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
  • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam
