The Lead CNC Lathe Technician plays a pivotal role in our manufacturing process at WET Design. This position involves operating and managing a cell of CNC lathes and mills, ensuring precision and quality in our water feature components.

About WET Design:
WET Design is renowned for its innovative approach to design, merging aesthetics with functionality to create extraordinary water features that captivate audiences worldwide. Our projects range from residential to large-scale corporate installations, transforming spaces and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Set up and operate a variety of CNC machinery, executing various tasks on initial and subsequent operations.
2. Oversee the operation of CNC Haas Lathes and Mills, including multi-axis machinery.
3. Create setups in a low-volume, high-mix production environment.
4. Design and fabricate a diverse array of tools and fixtures essential for manufacturing component parts and assemblies.
5. Interpret verbal instructions, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
6. Utilize independent judgment and advanced technical skills, along with a solid understanding of shop mathematics and practices.
7. Plan work layouts based on knowledge of components, engineering principles, and design requirements.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience operating CNC machinery, with at least 7 years in setup roles on CNC Haas Lathes and Mills.
- Proficient in using all necessary tooling and measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Capable of handling both delicate and heavier components.
- Comprehensive knowledge of G-Code programming.
- Familiarity with basic shop mathematics.
- Team-oriented with a keen attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Self-motivated, with the capacity to work independently and take direction from supervisors.
- Proven ability to multitask effectively.
- This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift moderate weights and maintain mobility throughout the workday.
