Substitute Nutrition Worker

Bristow Public Schools is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Substitute Child Nutrition Worker to join our team.

The Substitute Child Nutrition Worker will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and safety in the cafeteria, kitchen, and food preparation areas. This includes ensuring that food is prepared and served in a clean and safe environment, and that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained.

• Maintain defined standards of sanitation and safety in the cafeteria, kitchen, and food preparation areas.
• Gather, maintain, and store food and/or supplies for workstations.
• Complete job tasks and/or other duties in assigned time frames.
• Take and record food temperatures on the serving line.
• Follow serving instructions and exhibit knowledge of Child Nutrition Program meal pattern requirements with students.
• Perform other tasks as needed, including washing and cutting up fruit and vegetables for salads and desserts, assisting in preparation of soups, meat, salads, and desserts, and cleaning workstations, serving counters, kitchen floors, dining room tables, and floors, as well as food and supply storage areas and restrooms.

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain a clean and safe work environment
