Position Overview
Job Title: Cashier
Department: Front-End
Reports To: Customer Service Manager
FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Essential Responsibilities

  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain precise cash drawer balances.
  • Implement proper accounting procedures for returns, exchanges, and transfers.
  • Handle cash, checks, and credit transactions, providing change as necessary.
  • Verify customer identification for authenticity during transactions.
  • Adhere to all relevant laws regarding the sale of restricted items.
Physical Requirements
Cashiers are expected to stand for extended periods, engage in frequent walking, and perform various physical tasks such as bending and reaching. The role may require lifting up to 50 pounds and effective communication with customers and colleagues. Vision capabilities must include close and color vision.
