About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician Helper to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering and maintaining HVAC equipment for scheduled and unscheduled commissioning and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with team members to prepare and deliver equipment and materials to job sites across Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
  • Maintain and repair large refrigerant recovery units, vacuum pumps, pumps, recovery tanks, and other various HVAC equipment.
  • Operate forklifts and flatbeds for deliveries, requiring a DOT certification.
  • Use cutting-edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, to diagnose and repair units.
  • Display team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires.
  • Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in HVAC is preferred.
  • Technical school or formal training is preferred.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers are required.
  • A valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations, is required.
  • EPA Certification is preferred.

Environmental Exposure

This position requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders. It requires employees to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. (may occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 lbs. with special approval.)

This role may be exposed to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, risk of electrical shock, noisy operating equipment, and other variable environmental conditions based on location.
