Job Title: Dietary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Specialist to join our team at Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO).

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year.

About the Role:

The Dietary Specialist will provide clinical nutrition expertise by conducting nutritional assessments and developing care plans using Best Practices in accordance with the Department of Patient Food and Nutrition Services. This role requires providing recommendations for nutrition intervention, participating in daily rounds with the multidisciplinary team, and conducting nutrition education sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely and efficient nutritional assessments and documentation.
  • Assess potential nutritional risks and implement appropriate medical nutritional therapy interventions.
  • Involve clients and families in planning objectives and goals.
  • Provide nutritional counseling and education.
  • Maintain accurate clinical nutrition documentation.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or related field, licensure as mandated by the State of Michigan, 2+ years of clinical experience, and proficiency in MS Office.
