Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Process customer transactions quickly and accurately, handling various forms of payment and tenders.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, including cash handling and loss prevention.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads, and promote sales and promotions to customers.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate departments or store management of any items in need of repair.
Requirements
  • Customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of basic math and ability to handle cash and operate a point of sale system.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of the Point of Sale system and ability to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
