Operations Controller Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Controller to join our Accounting & Finance Team at CFS Indianapolis. This role will support regional plant operations in Indianapolis, Southern Indiana, and Tennessee.

Operations Controller Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations for 3 manufacturing plant locations, driving operational efficiency and profitability. Key responsibilities include:
  1. Collaborating with senior leadership and operational teams to develop and implement financial strategies that support business growth and cost management.
  2. Conducting detailed variance analysis to monitor production costs, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal financial performance.
  3. Leading the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  4. Supporting private equity stakeholders by providing financial insights, preparing investor reports, and facilitating due diligence processes for potential acquisitions or divestitures.
  5. Working closely with Plant Managers to determine cost saving initiatives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, and a strong background in manufacturing industry. A CPA or CMA certification is preferred, as well as Lean Six Sigma Certification. The ability to travel monthly is also required.
