POSITION SUMMARY:
The General Labor - Meat Processor is tasked with executing all essential duties of the role with precision, thoroughness, and safety while working across various areas of the cooking section within the production facility, including receiving, microwave room, grinding area, batching, mixing, scaling, spice room, stuffing, smokehouse, and cooking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage in multiple tasks within the cooking section of the production area.
- Safely unload and distribute materials from delivery vehicles to specified locations, ensuring order accuracy.
- Transfer products from cardboard containers into stainless steel containers.
- Input raw meat into the grinder and monitor meat production levels.
- Load meat products and spices into the dumper.
- Carry out the mixing process effectively.
- Accurately move containers between designated areas, record temperatures, and weigh products.
- Operate machinery such as stuffers, grinders, and smokehouses safely.
- Utilize high-pressure cleaning equipment to sanitize all racks and containers.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Eligibility to work legally in the United States is required.
- A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for 8-9 hours daily.
- Capability to bend, stoop, and squat as necessary for various tasks.
- Ability to lift weights up to 100 pounds.
- Willingness to work in environments with temperatures of 40 degrees or lower.
- Experience in a fast-paced packaging setting is preferred.
- Flexibility to work 40 or more hours weekly, including potential overtime.
