Job Overview

At Prisma Health, we are dedicated to transforming healthcare for the benefit of our communities. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in our Neurosurgical ICU, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to critically ill patients with neurological conditions.

**Salary:** $94,100 - $123,800 per year, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

* Provide clinical direction and leadership to the nursing staff in the Neurosurgical ICU, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.

* Develop and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and reduce morbidity and mortality rates.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and effective communication among healthcare professionals.

* Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities to maintain and enhance the standards of patient care in the Neurosurgical ICU.

* Serve as a resource and mentor to nurses, providing education and support to enhance their skills and knowledge in neuroscience nursing.

Requirements:

* Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

* At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an intensive care unit (ICU), preferably in neurosurgery or neuroscience nursing.

* Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program may be considered in lieu of 1 year of registered nurse experience.

* Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs)

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate complex information to patients, families, and colleagues.
