We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead our industrial construction projects in the SE Texas region. Our client is a leading contractor with over $130 million in annual revenue, known for their quality, honesty, and safety in all their projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining objectives, scope, schedule, budget, resources, and deliverables.
  • Allocate resources efficiently, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to meet project requirements and timelines.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, coordinating activities, and ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, and oversee contract execution to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project objectives and outcomes.
  • Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and ensure adherence to construction standards and specifications.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal team members.
  • Address issues and conflicts that arise during construction, providing timely solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, implement safety protocols, and promote a safe work environment for all project participants.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders, including status updates, milestones achieved, and any deviations from the project plan.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, address their concerns, and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, assess their impact, and obtain necessary approvals for modifications.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, meeting minutes, and other project-related records.
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation completion, and client handover, to ensure a smooth transition to the operational phase.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in construction of industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Strong leadership abilities to supervise and coordinate subcontractors, laborers, and other construction personnel.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • In-depth understanding of construction techniques, building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and resolve issues that arise during construction projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
