Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Foster Care Specialist to join our team. As a Foster Care Specialist, you will work closely with children and adolescents in the foster care system, providing administrative support, conducting assessments, and facilitating home visits. Your primary goal will be to ensure the physical, emotional, and educational needs of our clients are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement support plans for children and adolescents in foster care
  • Conduct assessments and interviews to confirm safe and nurturing environments
  • Facilitate home visits and provide support to foster parents and families
  • Attend court hearings and school meetings on behalf of clients
  • Provide required documentation and ensure timely reporting and contractual requirements
What We Offer

As a Foster Care Specialist at Guardian Light Family Services, you will enjoy a competitive compensation package, including a starting pay rate of $21-$23/hour. Additionally, you will receive a $3/hour pay rate differential for working with clients on Saturdays and Sundays. We also offer mileage reimbursement, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition reimbursement, employee assistance program, and medical transport ambulance insurance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum Bachelor's degree in the human services field and 2 years of full-time equivalent child welfare programming experience. You will also need to provide your own reliable personal vehicle and cell phone, internet service, and computer/iPad/tablet with daily access to work email and GLFS computer systems.
