Job Title: Swim Instructor

At the Attleboro Norton YMCA, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels, while promoting a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners
  • Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to ensure students understand and can perform swimming techniques
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Maintain a safe and organized learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements:
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Working Conditions:

The Swim Instructor will work in a pool environment, standing for extended periods and lifting up to 15 pounds. The ability to stay in the pool for an extended period is required.
