Highly Skilled IT Professional Wanted for Classified Systems Role

Job Overview
Leidos is seeking a highly skilled systems administrator to support classified environments. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and securing complex information systems while ensuring adherence to security protocols and regulations.
About the Position
This position requires a strong background in troubleshooting, patching, and maintaining operating systems and third-party environments. You will also be expected to possess a solid understanding of change management procedures and associated roles and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary contact and support channel for user requests and technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations such as NIST Special Publication 800-53.
- Conduct regular security patching, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and generate compliance artifacts for Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Work independently and collaboratively to document and communicate issues, standards, or procedures effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support system integrity and security.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required along with an Active Top Secret security clearance, including eligibility for Special Access Programs.
- Possession of DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification, such as CompTIA Security+.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, patching, and maintaining operating systems and third-party environments.
- Solid understanding of change management procedures and associated roles and responsibilities.
- Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Windows-based domain environments, including DNS, Group Policy, File Shares, NTFS Permissions, and Active Directory.
- Experience with patch management, firewall configurations, Windows Services, disk management, encryption, and networking.
- Knowledge of the DoD implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and pertinent directives (NIST, CNSS, DCSA, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree with 4 - 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2 - 6 years of relevant experience, or significant certifications and experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the RedHat operating system or willingness to learn about other Linux platforms.
- Experience in conducting vulnerability scans and their remediation.
- Experience analyzing and implementing DISA STIGs.
- Ability to create custom scripts using bash or PowerShell for task automation.
Estimated Salary Range: $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
