Test Automation Engineer Job Summary:
Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is a leading provider of innovative solutions to the Department of Veterans Affairs. We are currently seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with expertise in automation testing to support our nationwide program. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing test automation strategies, creating automation test plans, and integrating with CI/CD tools and pipeline.

Responsibilities:
• Designing and implementing test automation strategies
• Creating automation test plans and getting approvals
• Choosing selenium tools and configuring Selenium Test Environment
• Creating, organizing, and managing Test Automation Resources
• Designing, developing, and executing automated tests
• Extending existing test automation frameworks and tools
• Integrating with CI/CD tools and pipeline (i.e. Jenkins)
• Triage, troubleshoot, and document defects
• Documenting QA procedures for the team
• Working closely with engineering and QA to manage and improve the development pipeline
• Performing and writing automated functional, system, regression, and integration testing

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to overall company success
• Must have experience working in an agile environment
• Must have comprehensive technical expertise on IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, and networks and specialized environments
• Must have experience developing test plans and test procedures
• 8+ years Automated S/W development and testing experience
• Java, C#, or Python development experience
• Flat File Processing, API, or Backend testing
• Visual Studio
• T-SQL

Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI)
