Job Overview

POSITION: Innovative Reasoning, LLC (IR) is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Security Support Specialist to enhance the Security Division's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage access control to ensure that entry points are monitored, personnel clearances are verified, and only authorized individuals gain entry to secure areas.
  • Oversee the opening and closing procedures for designated facilities.
  • Utilize authorized systems to verify personnel clearances.
  • Issue visitor and temporary identification badges as necessary.
  • Maintain visitor logs and validate access requests, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Submit and monitor IT helpdesk tickets related to security networks; report any security incidents promptly.
  • Screen documents and packages carried by personnel entering or exiting secure areas.
  • Conduct random inspections to uphold anti-terrorism measures.
  • Familiarize with and operate the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and conduct thorough handovers with supervisory staff.
  • Complete end-of-day security checklists and documentation.

Additional Duties:

  • Handle unclassified and classified information in compliance with security regulations.

Supervisory Role:

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in common office software applications and equipment.
  • Must possess a current active Top Secret Facility Clearance Level with SCI eligibility.
  • In-scope favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) required.
  • Enrollment in the DoD Continuous Evaluation program is mandatory.
  • Valid state or federal identification required.
  • Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant security experience.
  • Prior military experience is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Work will occur in a mixed civilian and military setting.
  • Expect varied conditions, from office environments to fieldwork, with potential interruptions.
  • Flexibility for non-standard hours and travel may be necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform various physical activities throughout the workday.

Work Schedule: Full-time position.

Compensation: Discussed during the interview process.

Security Clearance: Active U.S. Top Secret Facility Clearance Level with SCI eligibility is required.

Travel Requirements: Some travel may be necessary for this role.
