Job Title: Recreation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Novant Health. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and providing assessment and psycho-educational groups and therapeutic recreational activities to patients in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Therapeutic Recreation and physician's orders.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and maintain a caseload of patients
  • Provide clinical services to a wide range of ages, cultures, and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Keep accurate and appropriate records
  • Perform well in a work environment dependent upon mutual support, a high degree of independence, and a strong team concept
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field
  • One year of clinical experience in behavioral health preferred
  • Ability to obtain National Certification (CTRS) and North Carolina State Licensure (LRT)
