This role is centered on executing installations, repairs, overhauls, and preventive/predictive maintenance on automated production machinery, facility systems, and other building automation technologies. The automated production machinery encompasses CNC mills and lathes, box manufacturing equipment, metal surface treatment apparatus, pick and place systems, and various devices typically found in a surface mount technology (SMT) environment. Facility automation technologies include HVAC systems, surveillance systems, access control systems, and lighting automation.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Checks: Assess the functionality of machinery and troubleshoot electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation issues in accordance with manufacturer specifications or best practices.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct complex repairs, calibrations, and both preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment utilizing diverse procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Component Replacement: Dismantle devices using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools to remove and replace defective parts.
- Adjustments: Modify functional components of machinery, equipment, and control instruments using various measuring tools.
- PLC Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve PLC-related issues using ladder logic and text-based programming.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities for historical and future reference using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Inventory Management: Assist in the upkeep of spare parts and supply inventories.
- Training: Provide training to other maintenance personnel on automation and related equipment.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Comprehensive knowledge of automation systems, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic processes.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with PLC ladder logic and text-based logic programs.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and technical specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects effectively.
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Timely completion of production troubleshooting and repairs.
- Up-to-date preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Efficient project completion.
- Maintained cleanliness and operational efficiency of all equipment.
