Job Summary:

As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Waste Connections, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment machinery such as compactors, dozers, excavators, and graders to maintain the landfill's haul roads and compact trash. Your duties will also include hauling soil and assisting with other tasks around the landfill.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment machinery to compact trash and maintain haul roads
  • Haul soil and assist with other tasks around the landfill
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition

Requirements:

* Must have experience operating heavy equipment machinery
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Physical stamina to perform heavy manual labor
* Basic math skills to accurately measure and record waste disposal data
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* High school diploma or equivalent required
