The Family Physician will be responsible for providing routine and emergency treatment to patients, diagnosing disease processes, and providing medical treatment. The role will also involve overseeing and providing direct medical care to patients, referring patients to other providers as needed, and participating in patient care audits for quality assurance and utilization review.

The successful candidate will be a team player with strong organizational skills, excellent communication and clinical skills, and a demonstrated work ethic of confidentiality and professionalism. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive and continuing care to patients requiring routine and emergency treatment
  • Diagnose disease processes and provide medical treatment
  • Oversee and provide direct medical care to patients
  • Refer patients to other providers as needed
  • Participate in patient care audits for quality assurance and utilization review
  • Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients
  • Maintain medical professional standards and knowledge by regularly attending medical conferences, seminars, and continuing education programs
  • Represent the health center with external authorities and the community as required
  • Pursue continued education opportunities for ongoing professional growth and accreditation status

Requirements:

  • Board certification or eligibility in an appropriate specialty and a current medical license in Massachusetts
  • Residency completion in good standing
  • Well-developed organizational skills; strong follow-through skills
  • Excellent communication and clinical skills
  • Demonstrated work ethic of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
