Crawford Thomas Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced R&D Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and innovating products and equipment to meet market needs. Your expertise in mechanical engineering will be crucial in guiding and managing product development, including fabrication drawings and work instructions. You will work closely with a team of engineers in the US, Germany, and Switzerland to develop and oversee manufacturing of newly designed projects. Your responsibilities will include researching, designing, evaluating, and innovating products and equipment, as well as performing mechanical design and engineering of luxury fenestration components. You will also be responsible for coordinating and overseeing engineering tasks, including design, computer simulation, prototyping, fabrication, assembly, and implementation of QA procedures. Additionally, you will work closely with the legal department for trademark protection and lead a team of engineers. If you have a degree or diploma in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in both industrial and research settings, we encourage you to apply. Your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, creativity, and self-motivation to solve unique technical problems will be essential in this role. You should also have software skills in AutoCAD, Inventor/Autodesk, and Microsoft Office, as well as practical workshop experience in metal working. Fluency in English is required. Fenestration experience, product testing experience, and experience in collaborating with patent lawyers are strong plus qualifications.
